Review: Flavor Pixels THC Seltzer

Flavor Pixels THC Seltzer

Despite the High Gear scoring system’s irreparable bias against THC beverages, we soldier on – for the people. This week’s victim, Flavor Pixels THC Seltzer.

Flavor Pixels THC Seltzer Test 1 (10 mg)

As with most THC seltzers, the blackberry lemon flavor was quite subtle. My personal preference would be to have more flavor in there, but I understand why it’s that way. That said, the subtle flavor was fine and paired well with the pork tenderloin that accompanied this test.

It took about 20 minutes to drain the can with dinner and I felt the first hint of a buzz about five minutes after, which is impressively fast. My buzz climbed rather quickly, hitting the peak about 45 minutes after the first sip.

As with virtually all THC beverages I’ve tested, despite the 10 mg dose of THC (if you’re new to town or THC products, Minnesota edibles are usually 5 mg each), this buzz was quite mild. It was about the equivalent of a below average 5 mg gummy. With very few exceptions, this is pretty standard. If you’re looking to just get a little buzz with coworkers or you’re new to THC products in general, this is a great option. If you have a high tolerance, you’re gonna need to chase this with a second (or third) can or an edible.

My buzz started fading fast just after the three-hour mark. This is pretty average and, honestly, I feel like a buzz that lasts much longer than three hours might be overkill. I’m usually in bed by that stage anyway, but even if your day isn’t over, it’s nice to have a reliable buzz timeline in case you have to see the in-laws later.

The straight dope on Flavor Pixels THC Seltzer

Nothing special here, but as I illustrated above, sometimes that’s what you want. It’s a nice, non-disabling buzz for social outings or a little midday fun when you have to function later.
