Two years of testing: The best Minnesota THC edibles

Happy second anniversary to this blog! They say most blogs don’t make it past three months, which means we are eight times more successful than most blogs! Don’t question the logic, just let it wash over you without judgment as you review the best Minnesota THC edibles. (And two drinks.)

I’ve posted 101 product reviews over the past two years. Admittedly, my scoring system fell short with certain products, namely THC beverages, but there are still a bunch of outstanding products that deserve a second shout-out. Below is every product that scored at least 17 out of 20. You’re welcome.

Loonie THC Gummies

Loonie slid into 2024 with a new product that earned a perfect score of 20. I’ve tried gummies that were slightly more powerful than these, but nothing has ever delivered such a consistently fast onset time. I’m smitten. And the price is $5 less than most gummies, so I don’t even care.

For the record, they make a THC cider that I really enjoyed as well. If you can keep all the loon THC products straight, keep an eye out for this one.

High on Pie gummies

Scoring a 19 out of 20, High on Pie gummies are among the best Minnesota THC edibles, due to several factors. Fast onset, upper-tier strength and, somehow, no hangover.

This is especially impressive, as a pack costs $5 less than most brands.

Superior Seltzer Transfusion

After struggling with how to score THC beverage for too long, I made a few changes which boosted Superior Selzter to a score of 17 out of 20.

If you’re using THC products for sleep assistance or pain relief, one 10 mg can of Superior Seltzer Transfusion is not going to cut it, even with an ideal food booster. But for social settings, with a couple of carefully timed cans, this buzz is probably perfect.

Minni Wanna gummies

As the perfect 20/20 score suggests, I can’t find any fault with this wonderful product. It’s not only one of the best Minnesota THC edibles, it’s now one of my go-to choices.

Quick onset time, impressive potency, good staying power and $5 less per package than most other gummies. And they taste good! I am fully smitten.

Stoned Limone gummies

I’ve had weird luck with the Crested River product line and this test was no different. After a little testing trouble, Stone Limone recovered admirably, scoring a 19 out of 20.

This is an above-average buzz for $5 less than most gummies. As a frugal Minnesotan, a good value means more to me than sheer potency.

Hi Treatz gummies

On the subject of good values, holy shit.

Hi Treatz won’t knock your socks off based on pure power, but the value factor may be unmatched in the Minnesota edibles market. For this price point ($14.99!), “good” is pretty great and you can do worse at much higher price points.

Bogey Bites Gummies

Scoring a perfect 20, Bogey Bites immediately joined Delta Clear as one of my go-to, best value THC products.

I can’t fault the product. It delivers an above average buzz for $5 less than most edibles. No notes.

Superior Molecular gummies

Squeaking in with a score of 17 out of 20, Superior Molecular is a great weeknight option.

When you consider these only cost $19.99 per pack, I’d say the slightly above average buzz makes this a great value.

Camino THC gummies

These things live up to the hype. They taste great, punch hard and don’t leave a mark (i.e. hangover). Just, wow.

I’m knocking off a single point, for a score of 19, for the high-end price, but honestly, Camino gummies are so good, I don’t even care.

Jesse Ventura Farms Baja gummies

Ventura Farms Baja

Overall, the Jessie Ventura Farms products did not perform well in my tests, but there was one exception.

Like the other products, Jesse Ventura Farms Baja gummies hit hard and leave a hangover. A 5 mg dose is plenty for a work night or you’ll be a Space Cadet First Class for much of the next morning. Alas, like the other products in this line, the price point is on the high end, causing it to lose two points and scoring an 18 out of 20.

The Strawberry Bundt Cake performed similarly and earned the same score.

Xite caramels

Unless you’re committed to cutting Xite caramels into Minnesota-approved 5 mg doses, in which case best of luck, these caramels are wonderful. The onset could be faster, but otherwise you won’t be disappointed. With a score of 17 out of 20, these caramels performed so well, I’m a little worried I didn’t cut them into perfect thirds. But if it happened to me, it’ll probably happen to you, so just roll with it.

MN Solventless gummies

I love these little Minnesota-shaped gummies. They’re delicious, they pack a punch (unless you eat them with a plate of healthy trash) and they have respectable staying power. I only knocked a single point off for price, leaving them with a score of 19 out of 20. Alas, when a product is this powerful, one should expect a mild hangover the next day.

Xite Peanut Butter Nuggets

Once again the Xite products out-performed most of their competitors. Strong buzz, good staying power and decent onset times earned this treat a score of 17 out of 20. As with many Xite edibles, these nuggets come in 15 mg doses. If all you want is an instant cosmic experience, pop one of these and brace for fun. Otherwise be prepared for some frustration while cutting a nugget into thirds. And the chocolate-covered peanut butter tastes divine.

Stigma Coffee Squares

I love these things. Love. Relatively fast, strong and above average staying power earned this product a score of 18 out of 20. I think it’s safe to say that it was one of the top three most powerful Minnesota 5 mg doses I’ve ever tried. And, obviously, coffee and chocolate are a taste match made in heaven.

SMAZEY THC seltzer

This might be the fastest acting THC beverage I’ve tried so far, with a score of 17 out of 20. Under ideal testing conditions, it’s the THC version of malt liquor. You drink one of these babies and you’re good for several hours. Drink two and brace for a fun, if slightly messy evening. FYI – I tested the 10 mg version. I don’t know if SMAZEY puts out a 5 mg version, but many producers do, so examine the label carefully.

On Point THC chocolate

I had some uneven test results, but these things are great overall. I’m not sure that the infused mushrooms are making any difference, but the chocolate is relatively fast-acting, strong, with only a minor fade sometime after the three-hour mark, which is pretty good.

They’re on the high side, price-wise, but with a score of 19 out of 20, at least you know where that money is going.

Retro Bakery Gummy Wheels

While this isn’t the most powerful gummy I’ve tried, it’s comfortably in the top tier, scoring 17 out of 20. The slightly slower than usual onset was offset by the impressive staying power, so I’m not complaining. And best of all, these babies are budget-friendly and a great value.

Packaging these gummies into two 25 mg wheels of THC is a little odd. It almost feels like they want to help you enter a Fantasia state without the hassle of counting out five individual gummies and I endorse that effort. Pulling apart a single 5 mg dose isn’t too difficult, so we’ll just let that curious decision go.

Granny’s THC Pretzels

These things are wonderful. They taste great, they hit hard (with the right food boost) and no brain fog the next day. What’s not to love? They scored 19 out of 20, only losing a point for price. I thought eating a product with roughly 1 mg of THC per pretzel would be annoying, but it was actually perfect. You get complete control over the buzz you want. Was 5 mg not quite enough? Eat another one or two milligrams. Problem solved.

Xite Hard Candy

As always, your mileage may vary depending on what you eat, but under the right conditions these things, scoring 17 out of 20, are comfortably in the 85th percentile for Minnesota edibles. Maybe even 90th percentile. That bonus CBD certainly adds a little kick. A forced 6 mg dose is about perfect for a weeknight and the hangover the next day is negligible.

Crested River THC Gummies

If you can solve the puzzle of how to open the stoner-proof packaging, you’ll be rewarded with superior gummies at the rare price of only $20. I had a weird experience testing these gummies, which is how they scored 17 out of 20, but with the right THC-friendly food accompaniment, they deliver an incredible value.

Hemp House Gummies

I have good news and bad news. The good news is that Hemp House’s branded gummies scored a perfect 20 out of 20. The bad news is they have been out of stock ever since I tested them. It’s so out of stock that Hemp House eventually pulled it from their website product list, which probably means we won’t be seeing these gummies again soon, if ever.

Superior Farms Gummies

My only quibble with this fine product was its price, sitting at the high end of Minnesota edibles, which is the only reason it scored an 18 out of 20, instead of a perfect score. The average onset time was forgiven due to the powerful, rapid build-up soon after the first tingle. Honestly, I can’t come up with any real criticism. Great stuff.

Midwest Reserve gummies

Amazingly, my first (hilariously long) product review turned out to be one of best Minnesota THC edibles I’ve ever had.

Midwest Reserved scored a 20 out of 20, but this scoring system does not acknowledge hangovers and, sadly, these things will leave your brain a little busted the next day. Also, they take a LONG time to hit, so plan your day/night/weekend accordingly.

Hemp House Hard Candy

I declared these tasty hard candies to be the “benchmark for the current hemp-derived Minnesota edibles arena we’re currently living in.”

Scoring 17 out of 20, they take hold relatively fast, they’re reliable and they get the job done, with little if any brain fog the next morning. If you wanna get stoned seven days a week, this is an excellent Sunday-Thursday option.

Delta Clear Blue Razz

Delta Clear Blue Razz is among the best Minnesota THC edibles

In a word, “whoa.”

Scoring 20 out of 20, though I wasn’t a fan of the taste, these babies deliver a better than average punch and minimal brain stupidification the next day. It’s a double-whammy for people who want an interstellar trip outside of weekends and need to function normally at 7:30 the following morning.

Xite Dark Chocolate Minis

A somewhat long list of petty grievances aside, these chocolates are delicious and powerful.

They scored 18 out of 20, but click the link to see all the caveats attached to that.

Dankadence Gourmet Gummies

Dankadence Gourmet Gummies are among the best Minnesota THC edibles

Scoring 19 out of 20, I simply love these things. They punch like champions and the hangover the next day is negligible. It’s easily one of the best Minnesota THC edibles. No notes.

Legacy Cannabis Loon Lab Chocolate Bar

These chocolate bars are the THC edibles equivalent of a sprint, not a marathon.

With a score of 17 out of 20, they come on fast, with thrilling build-up and respectable peak. The only flaw is the somewhat early fade of the buzz.
