Review: Minny Grown Cosmo THC drink

My one and only Minny Grown product review was a bit haphazard, with inconsistent testing conditions, so I’m happy to have another chance with their Minny Grown Cosmo THC drink.
Minny Grown Cosmo Test 1 (10 mg)
Minny Grown has six different mocktail flavors, and they all sound great. (Moscow Moose? Good Morning Mimosa? Yes, please!) I’m happy to report that the “Boat Cruise Cosmo” is indeed delicious and it paired nicely with my rotisserie chicken. The entire Minny Grown THC drink line contains 10 mg of THC, so you either need to guesstimate a 5 mg dose or just go for it and drink the whole can. I recommend the latter for reasons that will be clear in a second.
It took about 30 minutes for me to finish the Minny Grown Cosmo with dinner and I felt the first tingle less than 10 minutes after draining the can. I hit the first buzz peak about 35 minutes after that tingle, and then my buzz inched up slightly, arriving at the true peak about 1:20 after finishing the can.
This buzz was comparable to an average 5 mg gummy. This low performance is common with THC drinks. I still don’t know if they’re designed to be weaker than edibles, with the idea that people will drink two or more cans in a sitting, or if the THC delivery via liquid is just more difficult to crack. One of these days I’ll have to call a producer and ask.
I tested Minny Grown’s gummies in the very early days of this blog, before I established fairly consistent testing conditions, so it’s difficult to compare the two products. Also, one is a gummy and one is a drink. But I’m going to trust my past self and say the gummies performed far better than the Minny Grown Cosmo, recognizing that almost all THC drinks don’t provide the same trip as edibles.
The straight dope on Minny Grown Cosmo
The taste is wonderful. The buzz less so, even with a 10 mg dose. My scoring system doesn’t give a fair shake to the consistently lower performing THC drinks, so take the numbers below with that consideration. If you’re a seasoned stoner, you’re gonna want at least two cans.
