Review: Botany Farms Nano Delta-9 Gummies

Botany Farms Nano Delta-9 gummies (peach)

I put off reviewing The Botany Farms Nano Delta-9 peach gummies to put some distance between my previous review of Botany Farm’s Blue Raspberry gummies, which, unfortunately, were my most disappointing product review (so far). I needed a little time to forget and approach this test with all due impartiality.

Immediately upon starting the research for this review, I discovered that I had their “microdose” version of both items. I had to go back and edit the first review to reflect this. In my defense the word “microdose” appears nowhere on the blue raspberry packaging, but in retrospect the discrepancy between the package stats and what appears on the website should have been a sign that I’d gotten something wrong. Mea culpa.

Back to the Nano peach gummies. Here’s a snippet of the product description on the website: “We are excited to introduce our Nano Delta-9 THC gummies. Each piece contains 5mg of Nano Emulsified Delta-9 THC to provide a smooth and easy ride with no CBD added. The process of Nano Emulsification makes the THC particles smaller so that they can be absorbed into the blood stream faster. Many users experience a quicker onset of the feelings they are looking for when compared to regular THC edibles.”

That information tracks with my previous Botany experience. The blue raspberry gummies were the fastest acting of any Minnesota edibles I’ve tried so far. As you’ll see below, the peach gummies were also quite fast – at first.

Botany Farms Nano Test 1 (5 mg)

I took a single Botany Farms Nano gummy right after dinner. Barely 35 minutes later, I could feel the effects starting to settle in. The modest high I eventually achieved hit its peak in just under an hour. Fast acting, indeed.

As for the potency, the Nano is unsurprisingly subtle. It’s a nano buzz, as advertised.

Test 2 (5 mg)

Same testing conditions – 5 mg on a full stomach, but the results were starkly different. It took one hour and 40 minutes before I could detect even a hint of a buzz. It took another 30 minutes or so before I hit the peak, which was comparable to Test 1. What took so long?

Test 3 (10 mg)

Like Test 2, a 10 mg dose on a full stomach took roughly two hours before it started hitting and I didn’t hit the peak until about the 2.5-hour mark.

Doubling up with the Nanos was exactly as you would expect – double nano strength. It was a decent trip, but unremarkable. The buzz might have been just a touch more than I want on a weeknight, but nowhere near what I’d like on a weekend. Comparable 10 mg tests with other Minnesota edibles had more kick.

The straight dope on the Botany Farms Nano

Now knowing I’m reviewing a $19 product instead of a $35 product has made me far more forgiving of the Botany microdose trips. But I can’t figure out the super delayed effects in tests 2 and 3. I didn’t eat anything unusual and there was nothing remarkable about my day or evening that would slow down or alter the effects. Botany’s blue raspberry microdose gummies were consistently fast-acting. Weird.

Ultimately, the Nanos deliver exactly what they promise in their product description and I can’t fault Botany Farms for that. Can you do better for $19? Yes. Is it a bad product? No. It’s comfortably satisfactory.
